Dean Ponder, daughter of the late James Franklin and Pauline Kirkman Smotherman, was born October 27, 1931 in Senath, Missouri and passed away October 28, 2019, at the NHC Healthcare of Kennett at the age of 88 years.

She married Bill Ponder August 5, 1953, in Malden, Missouri. He preceded her in death January 26, 2006.

Two daughters:

Paula Rasberry and husband, Ronald, of Campbell, MO

Penny Hamlett and husband, Boyce , of Kennett. MO

3 grandchildren: Dusty Hamlett,  Magan Hamlett and Jason Rasberry

Mrs. Ponder was of Senath, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Jim Smotherman.

The funeral service will be Friday, November 1, 2:00 P.M. at the McDaniel Chapel in Senath with Rev. Doug Clinton officiating. The visitation will begin at 12:00, and continue until service time. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
