Wilma Jean Summitt, daughter of the late Clarence Cooper and Lucille Haywood Cooper, was born April 15, 1937, in   Holcomb, Missouri and passed away November 26, 2025, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Missouri, at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 11 days. Wilma "Jean" married Chester "Moody" Summitt on May 13,1989, in Campbell, Missouri, Moody preceded her in death in 2009.

Survivors include:

Two daughters: Sandra McEwen "Jim" of Holcomb, MO

Michele Deen "Kerry" of Crossfield, TN

Son: Mark Mikel "Donna" of Malden, MO

Eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren

Four sisters: Bernice Fey of Wichita, KS, Pat Moore of Holcomb, Betty Bowen of Holcomb and Peggy Bailey of South Haven, MS.

Brother: Robert Cooper of Holcomb

many other relatives and friends

Jean was preceded in death by her son: Steven Mikel, her grandson: Mike Jaques, four sisters: Opal Lavern Cooper, Almyra Marzella Byrd, Verna May Kinder and Barbara Sue Cooper, and two brothers: Billy Wendell Cooper and Clifford Odell Cooper.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the McDaniel Chapel with Rev. Darren Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Cardwell Cemetery in Cardwell, MO. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Tony Jacques, Brandon Mikel, Josh Mikel, Stanley Brown, Jeremy Moore and Jim Moore, Honorary pallbearers: Jacob Deen and Bobby Cooper.
