William Joseph "Joe" Callahan, son of the late W.D. Callahan and Flora Bell Shields Callahan, was born December 15, 1936, in Bone Camp Community near Bucoda, Missouri and departed this life on December  13, 2025, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Joe married Iris "Lady" Johnson on June 17, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi. Lady passed away on November 24, 2017.

Joe farmed and operated Callahan Body Shop and Wrecker Service in Senath, Missouri.

Survivors include:

Son: Joey Ray Callahan (Jane) of Poplar Bluff, MO

Daughter: Jeri Renea Martin (Tim) of Van Buren, MO

Sister: Amy Vaughn of Cardwell, MO

Five grandchildren: Jerad Callahan, Dustin Martin, Caleb (Jonnie) Callahan, Chelsea Bolin and Miles (Presley) Callahan

Nine great grandchildren

Joe was preceded in death by his son: Billy Don Callahan, eight brothers and sisters: Julia Parker, Ollie McDaniel, Eula Belle Emenhiser, Jim Callahan, Jerry Callahan, Gerald "Butch" Callahan, Shirley Nethings and Janie Renfrow.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Lulu Baptist Church in Senath, with funeral service at 2:00 pm at Lulu Baptist Church.  Reverend Doug Clinton officiating. Burial will follow in Lulu Cemetery in Senath. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Jerad Callahan, Miles Callahan, Dustin Martin, Marvin Callahan, Mardon Layne and Gregg Layne.
