William Alfred Holbrook, son of the late General Sherman Holbrook and Sallie Alice (Oliver) Holbrook, was born August 17, 1939 in Parma, Missouri and departed this life on June17, 2025, at the age of 85 years and 10 months.  Alfred married Myrna Brown on December 27, 1968, Myrna preceded him in death.

Survivors include:

Two daughters: Donna (Lance) Lemonds of Greenville, MO

Kimberly (David) Thompson of Kennett, MO

Grandson: Joshua Chase Lemonds

Brother: Eddie Holbrook of CA

Sister: Alice Faye Callis of Mountain Home, AR

Other relatives and many friends

Alfred served his country in the United States Army Specialist 4th Class

Alfred was preceded in death by his wife: Myrna Holbrook, brother: Leon Holbrook, three sisters: Barbara Buckrucker, Louise Miller and Dorris Coffer.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with  Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Lance Lemonds, Josh Lemonds, David Thompson, Louis Childress and Don Jones. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
