William Edward Carnell, son of the late Arvel Dewitt Carnell and Katie Mae (Taylor) Carnell was born July 26, 1942 in Medina, Tennessee and departed this life on June 16, 2021 at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 21 days. William married Carolyn Norman on April 21, 1960 in Bragg City, Missouri.

Five grandchildren: Ashley, Joshua, Candance, Michael and Rebecah

Three brothers: Ken Carnell of Sikeston, Missouri

Phillip Carnell of Kennett, Missouri

Tony Carnell of Kennett, Missouri

Three sisters: Janie Galbraith of Kennett, Missouri

Nancy Parker of Kennett, Missouri

Sharon Montgomery of Kennett, Missouri

William was preceded in death by one brother: Arvel Carnell

William was of Kennett, Missouri and served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated Carnell's Gas Station in Kennett, Missouri.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Saturday, June 19, 2021 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend James Carnell officiating. Burial will be 1:00 PM Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Joshua Wilcoxson, Michael Carnell, David Carnell, Roger Smith, Steve Smith and Mark Carnell.
