Vonda D. Young, entered into eternal life on January 29, 2022, at the age of 69. She was known to most of her classmates by the name of 'Froggy', but it was the titles of 'Mom' and  'Mimi' that she cherished the most.

Vonda was born to James 'Brigham' Young and Bonnie Hooper on January 1, 1953. Vonda was a feisty soul, loved to dance, was fluent in sass and sarcasm and her favorite pastime was rooting on her grand children, Jake and Jilly, in any and all activities they participated in.

She was a loyal friend, and though she might have been little in size, she sure loved BIG. Vonda loved her coffee black, cherry pop tarts, Coca Cola, Red Lobster, warm wine, the Kansas City Chiefs and frogs - not in any particular order!

Vonda graduated from Southland High School in 1970 where she was a cheerleader and was voted Homecoming Queen. She moved to St. Louis in her early 20's where she wed Bob Carter and together they welcomed a daughter, Kelly Michelle on July 24, 1975.  Things happen and people change and in the summer of 1983, she married her favorite dancing partner, Mike Clark. With that ceremony, she inherited another title she was proud of, 'Step Monster', (a term that was meant in the most flattering of ways), to step son Joey Clark and step daughter Kathy Clark Fancher.

Vonda is survived by her mother Bonnie Hooper, of Cardwell, Missouri, sister Bonita Ramirez Davis, of Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter Kelly Carter, of Carlinville, Illinois, step son Joey Clark (Josie), of Honolulu, Hawaii, step daughter Kathy Clark Fancher (Brian), of Mason City, Iowa, grandchildren Jake Carter and Jillian McLaughlin, both of Carlinville, Illinois, and an extended family and friends alike, too numerous to list, but not to be forgotten.

Vonda was met at the Gates of Heaven by her Daddy, her step dad Rex Glen Hooper, brother in law G.H. Davis and her big brother Archie Ramirez.

Service will be held at McDaniel Funeral Service in Senath, Missouri on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. The family ask that you dress comfortable, and if you have a Vibes 4 Vonda shirt, we ask that you show your continuing support by wearing it on Thursday.

Memorials can be made to a charity of your choice in her honor.
