Virginia Dare Groves, daughter of the late Jake Casey and Ruby (Gess) Casey, was born February 18, 1942, in Tiptonville, Tennessee and departed this life at  NHC Health Care in Kennett on July 31, 2024 at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 13 days. Virginia married Ronald Gene "Ron" Groves on September 14, 1970 in Belton, Texas. Ronald preceded her in death November 1, 2012.

Survivors include:

Daughter: Laura (Chris) Hargrove of Kennett

Grandchild: Taylor Hargrove

Virginia  was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry and Jimmy Casey and one sister: Nell Casey.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, August 2, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Jimmie Skagges officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
