Virginia Mae Parchell / Cogshell was born on August 11, 1971 at Little Rock Arkansas Hospita,l to Mattie B and Willie James Parchell.  Virginia (Gin) departed this life on March 18, 2026 at the age of 54 years old.

Virginia attended Hayti Schools and later moved, attending Watson Chapel School in Arkansas.

Virginia was a mother, sister, auntie, and friend.  She had her (moments), but she was loved.  She will truly be missed dearly.  However, God had plans and God has her now with Him.  Amen

Virginia was preceded in death by both parents Mattie and Willie Parchell; her sons Terrell Parchell and Maurice Cogshell Jr., both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and two brothers George Anthony and Earl Parchell; two nephews, Micheal King and Hershel Grant Jr. both of Hayti, MO; her grandparents, aunties, and uncles.

Virginia is survived by her children:  Lisa Parchell of Memphis, TN, Katrina Cogshell, Drianna Cogshell, and Ashley Parchell of Kansas City, MO; Courtney Cogshell, Bradon Cogshell, and Crystal Parchell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Lamarcus Hopper Jr. of Michigan.

Virginia is also survived by her siblings:  Willie and Erica of Kennett, MO; Hattie and Angel King (Parchell) of Hayti, MO; Christie and Fred Armstrong, Leonard Parchell of Blytheville, Arkansas, and James and Lavern Parchell of Michigan.

Her friends:  Everlyn Moore of Kennett, MO; Courtney Snow (Hospice), Landon (Her Hospice Nurse), Edith (Hospice of Arkansas), Judsonia, Arkansas, and  Blossoms at Oakdale Nursing Home.

Homegoing Service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
