Vickie Jo Hamlett, age 60 of Kennett, Missouri passed away April 25, 2023 in Kennett. Vickie was born April 1, 1963, in Kennett, to Mavis (Bridges) Higgins and the late James Higgins. Vickie married Dennis Hamlett July 16, 1983 in Kennett.

Vickie was manager of the Sears Store for many years.

Survivors include:

Her husband: Dennis Hamlett of Kennett;

Two sons: Christopher (Lisa) Hamlett of Jackson, Missouri and

Matthew (Nichole) Hamlett  of Jackson;

Daughter: Stephanie (Derrick) Nelson of O'Fallon, Missouri;

Her Mother: Mavis Higgins of Kennett;

Three grandchildren: Olivia, Ruby and Zane;

Brother: Jim (Cheryl) Higgins of Henderson, Kentucky;

Sister: Myra Higgins of High Ridge, Missouri;

Other relatives and many friends.

Vickie was preceded in death by her father: James Higgins.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the McDaniel Chapel with Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Honored to serve as pallbearers: Eric Tillman, Justin Harris, Dennis Rainey, Mark Dennis, Shane Stewart and Nogi McDaniel.

Memorials may be made to St. Francis Foundation at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
