Velma Irene Roland, daughter of the late Estle Smith and Zettie Dale Smith, was born June 10, 1932, in Doniphan, Missouri and passed away November 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 3 days. Velma married Cecil Roland on May 2, 1951. He preceded her in death February 23, 2014.

Survivors include:

Two sons: Glenn (Kris) Roland of High Ridge, Missouri

Gerald (Mary) Roland of St. Charles, Missouri

Three grandchildren: Shannon Roland, Matt Roland and Jill Stevens

Six great grandchildren

Sister: Lavada Holloway of Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Other relatives and friends.

Velma was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Graveside Services will be 1:30 p.m. at Lulu Cemetery in Senath.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
