Trudie Henrietta Gibson, age 76 of Fenton, Mo departed this life at her residence on Tuesday, July 19 ^th , 2022. She was born September 24, 1945 to Henry & Sylvia Mahan Gibson at home in the Bucoda community.

She was a graduate of Arbyrd High School class of 1964. She was a cheerleader and was elected Ms. Arbyrd High School. Her best friends in high school were Sandra Sissom and Marilyn Smithmier.

Trudie graduated from Arkansas State College (ASC) in the winter of 1967 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While at ASC she was selected to be a princess platoon honorary officer for the Army ROTC on campus. She earned her Master's degree from Washington University in 1980.

In the spring of 1968, she taught one semester at Leachville Schools. She moved to Fenton, MO in the fall and taught fourth grade at South County School Systems. She retired in 2003. While teaching at South County School Systems – she was selected as Fourth grade teacher of the year and was recognized as a very energetic and creative instructor who loved her students. Many of her former students would come by to visit her post-graduation and tell her how much she influenced their lives.

Trudie loved to travel. In her spare time – she painted, arranged flowers and handmade beautiful cards for her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew – Matthew Gibson.

She leaves her brothers Jeffrey (Teresa) Gibson of Jonesboro, AR, and Greg (Tammy) Gibson of Senath, MO. Nieces – Kara Camp of Jacksonville, NC & Katelyn (Brandon) Crain of Jonesboro, AR; and Nephew – Joshua (Caroline) Gibson of Senath, MO. Great Nieces & Nephews – Kathleen Holifield, Caleb Camp, Corbin Camp, Cooper Camp and Carolina Camp. She also leaves many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM-11:00 Am Thursday, August 4, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Service in Senath. Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2022 at McDaniel Chapel in Senath with Pastor Chris Hicks and Pastor Matt Davidson officiating. Burial in McGrew Cemetery in Senath.
