John Tommy Masterson, son of the late Marvin and Ivannah (Smith) Masterson was born February 10, 1935 in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life April 1, 2022 at the age of 87 years. Tommy married Peggy Warrington in Kennett June 22, 1958. She preceded him in death October 22, 2017.

He is survived by:

Two daughters: Shawn (Scott) Kelly of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Beverly Masterson of Scott City, Missouri.

One brother: Clint (Christine) Masterson of Springfield, Missouri.

One sister: Alice Huff of Kennett.

Two grandchildren: Nicole Staples and Brandon Kelley

Four great-grandchildren.

Other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Masterson served in the United States Army.

Visitation will be 11:00 Am-1:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett. Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Doug Clinton and Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Brandon Kelly, Adam Staples, Scott Kelly, Ricky Burdin, Tommy Campbell and Tom Ryan. Honorary pallbearer is Glen Earl Harris.
