Joe Terry Payne, son of the late Ray Payne and Myrtle (Gray) Payne, was born November 21, 1940 in Rives, Missouri and departed this life on January 26, 2024 at the age of  83 years, 2 months and 5 days. Joe Terry married Glenda James on June 1, 1973.

Terry was a farmer in the Rives community and worked for Emerson Electric for 38 years. Terry attended Senath First Baptist Church in Senath.

Tim (Theresa) Payne

Tom (Helen) Payne

Dennie (Karrie) Payne

Two Daughters: Jordonaka (Roydon) Wilkins

Tammy (Jarrod) Kelly

Many grandchildren and great grandchildren

Terry was preceded in death by his daughter: Sarah Payne Girdley and grandson: Jerrod Payne

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral and Crematory Service in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Reverend Chris Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Josh Payne, Riley Wilkins, Wil Wilkins, Jase Payne, Jordan Lane, Taylor Morgan, Graylin Kelly and Seth Wilkins.

Memorials may be made to  Senath First Baptist Church in Senath, Missouri.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
