Obituary

Tanya Ann Jenkins was born on May 25, 1980, in Kennett, Missouri to Jane Ann and Rondal Keith Jenkins. After a decline in her health, she passed away on January 1, 2024 with her son, Preston, by her side. She was 43 years old.

She is survived by her parents, Jane (Jenkins-Roe) and Tim Roe of Jonesboro; her sisters: Ronda (Jason) Clark of Florida, Jessica (Chris) Handley of Kennett, Jenny (Mark) Wendel of Jonesboro; her children: Skylar (Robert Malouin) Jenkins, Preston Jenkins, Sydney Johnson, and Liam Busch, and her nieces and nephews.

Tanya was preceded in death by her devout and loving father, Rondal Jenkins.

Tanya was known and loved by many mostly because of her warm, welcoming heart and the light that seemed to shine from her wherever she went. She was optimistic by nature and was always willing to help any time she thought someone needed her. She was characterized by her giving nature, was gifted to easily recognize the needs of others, and was often known to sacrifice her own needs, genuinely feeling pleasure in helping and giving what she could. She easily saw the best in others and was known to be a well-spring of encouragement.

Tanya loved to have a good time with friends and family. This often involved a lot of laughter, music, and dancing. Most couldn't help but smile and laugh right along with her because her laugh was beautifully contagious. She was known to love midnight snacks and often left crumbs behind for her sisters to find on the counter the next morning; she loved chocolate icing right out of the container and her favorite food was Italian. Anyone that knew her would also undoubtedly know she was a huge Cardinals fan.

The family is grateful that she lives on through her four beautiful children (Skylar, Preston, Sydney, and Liam), and her three grandchildren (Dawson, Oaklynn, and Grayson). Tanya loved her children and grandbabies dearly, and she focused on making sure they knew how proud she was of them and how much they meant to her.

Tanya's family celebrated her life in a private ceremony on January 3rd, 2024, where she was laid to rest at Lulu cemetery in Senath, Missouri, next to her beloved father, Rondal. All would agree that the world is dimmer without her radiant presence.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Senath in charge of the arrangements.
