Steve "Romie" McElwrath, son of the late Oval McElwrath and Essie Wilson Blair was born January 4, 1942 in Holcomb, Missouri and departed this life on December 23, 2020 at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 19 days. Steve married Janet Coleman on October 31,1963 in El Paso, Texas.

One son: Mike (Lorrie) McElwrath of Holcomb, Missouri

One daughter: Angela Jo (Kevin) French of Kennett, Missouri

Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren

One brother: Ronald Dean McElwrath of Houston, Texas

Sisters: Sherry Ann (Eddie) Bell of Warner Robbins, Georgia

Barbara (James) McElroy of Little Rock, Arkansas

Lisa Ward of Taos, New Mexico

Other relatives and many friends.

Steve was preceded by his brothers: Tom McElwrath and Joe McElwrath and sister: Betty Pride.

Steve was of Kennett, Missouri and was the owner of Delta Insurance Agency in Kennett, Missouri. Steve served his country in the United States Army.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Steven McElwrath, Shane McElwrath, Aaron Reeves, Ryan Reeves, Mark Mansfield and Mooring Johnson.
