Sherry Jean Ragins, daughter of the late Alton Bolin and Pansy (Reel) Bolin was born March 24, 1951 in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on June 20, 2021 at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 27 days. Sherry married Kerry Gene Ragins February 16, 1979 in Kennett, Missouri. Kerry preceded her in death.

Sherry was a 34-year member of Ely Baptist Church. She was active in many roles in the church during this time.  She will be remembered for the beautiful gospel music that she provided for the church while leading the choir as well as playing the piano. She had a magnificent singing voice and was a gifted soloist. Sherry loved her church and her church family.  She was the hostess for many years of their annual Christmas party. She loved having everyone gathered celebrating Jesus' birth and sharing God's word.

Sherry was a 1969 graduate of Kennett High School. She worked for many years at Kennett National Bank before her and her husband opened Country Boy Restaurant in Kennett.  Sherry then begin working at the Farm Service Agency in Kennett where she ultimately retired in 2012.

Although she had many roles in life, ranging from her church to the community, the title that she loved being known for the most was MaMaw.  Sherry adored her three grandchildren.  She spent as much time as possible with them.  The love that she has shown to them in their short lives will live on forever.

Her son: Stephen (Jenifer) Ragins of Kennett, Missouri

Three grandchildren: Hadley, Lawson and Delaney

Sisters-in-law: Kay (Max) Gulley of Festus, Missouri

Donna Ragins of Brookland, Arkansas

A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her sister: Jackie Ford Arwine

Sherry was of Kennett, Missouri and was a retired loan officer at Farm Credit office in Kennett, Missouri.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Jim Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Joseph Brewer, Mark Moore, Todd Sickler, Tyler Gozzell, Aaron Reeves and Matt Moore. Honorary pallbearers: Larry Gatewood, Jack Hughes, Terry Weaver, Randy Cook, Randy Baker, Rick Gore, Jerry Patterson, Bob Clark, Chancellor Wayne and Mike Vance.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
