Sarah Elizabeth
Masterson
Sep 24, 1953 — Sep 11, 2026
Sarah Elizabeth Masterson, daughter of the late Russell B. Crawford and Virginia Wallace Crawford, was born September 24,1953 and departed this life on September 11, 2026 at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 25 days. Sarah was joined in marriage to Johnie Masterson on May 22, 1971. Sarah was employed at Ely Walker shirt factory in Kennett, she also did the janitorial work for her church, Kennett Christian Academy and also for Glen Sain Chevrolet of Kennett, MO.
Most people knew her as Sis Beth, and she wore many hats during her lifetime. She was a devoted wife to her husband for 55 years and a wonderful loving mother to both of her sons. She was Mamaw to her grandchildren and Meemaw to her three great-grandchildren. The truth is, she thought all children were great. The hat that she loved to wear as well as any was the hat of a Sunday school teacher to her two and three year old toddler class. So many children have passed through her classroom and were introduced to church through her. Many parents have said " Thank God for Sis Beth" when they were needing help with their children. When new couples with children came, she offered her services with a simple statement of " would you like me to hold them", and she would soothe the crying babies by offering them a little love from her big heart. She will be greatly missed by all for she truly has left a gap that can't be filled, but Heaven will be so much sweeter now that she will be there.
She was preceded in death by one brother Ronald Crawford of Benton, Arkansas.
