Sarah Nell George, of daughter of the late Norman Robbins and Eula Pearl (Teeter) Robbins, was born May 5, 1925 in Tupelo, Mississippi and departed this life on August 28, 2024 at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Mo. at the age of 99 years 3 months and 23 days. Sarah married Herschel A. George who preceded her in death.

Sarah was of Kennett and a member of First Baptist Church in Kennett

Survivors include:

Daughter: Donna Wood of New Madrid, Mo.

Two grandchildren: Jason Wood of Springdale, AR

Heather Wood of New Madrid, Mo.

Nephew: Gary Austin of Southaven, Miss.

Sarah was preceded in death by her son: Larry Wayne George; Brother: James Thomas Robbins; and two sisters: Francis Austin and Mae Crowe

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with Pastor Steven Scherer officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
