Sara Jean (Thompson) Haywood, daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy Thompson, passed away October 23, 2023 at Piggott Healthcare and Senior Living Center in Piggott, Arkansas. Sara was born January 19, 1947 in Clay County, Arkansas. Sara married Ernie Haywood February 22, 1981 in Kennett. Ernie preceded her in death.

Sara was retired from The Junction in Holcomb and Brown Shoe Company.

Sara was blessed to have Heather Neyhart in her life, as Heather has been there with her as her best friend and sole caregiver.

Brother: Lloyd Thompson of St. Louis, Mo.

Sister: Mary Thompson Graddy of Oklahoma

Other relatives and many friends.

Sara was preceded in death by her brother: Jay Thompson and three sisters: Robbie, Margaret and Morine Thompson.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Friday, October 27, 2023 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 12:00 at McDaniel Chapel, Patsy Weaver officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
