Hawkins
December 9, 1926 – November 13, 2021
Ruth Albertine Hawkins, daughter of the late William and Florence (Shipp) Campbell, was born December 9, 1926 in Leachville, Arkansas and departed this life November 13, 2021 at the age of 94 years. Ruth married William Delbert Hawkins December 22, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas.
She is survived by:
Two daughters: Rita Mauldin of Kennett, Missouri.
Kathy (Doug) Pigmon of Holcomb, Missouri
Four grandchildren: Bruce (Lisa) Dye, Brett Dye, Brandi Lewis, Nikki (Derek) Cato.
Seven great-grandchildren: Jeremy Dye, Stephanie Elmore, Christian Lewis, Kallie Cato, Macie Cato, Lynzie Cato and Wesley Cato.
Four great-great grandchildren: Orion Dye, Audrey Dye, Jake Elmore and Brandon Elmore.
Other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by six sisters: Della Willis, Helen Rannenburg, Harriett Gillian, Geraldine Campbell, Jeanette Meadows and Shirley Ann Bowie three brothers Loys Campbell, Willie Campbell and E.C Campbell
Mrs. Ruth was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church where she served as organ player for over 50 years.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Derek Cato, Doug Pigmon, Brett Dye and Bruce Dye and Evan Elmore
Visitation will be 12:00 PM – 12:45 Pm Monday, November 15, 2021 at McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with Reverend Doug Clinton officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
