Ruth Noel George, of Kennett, Missouri, daughter of the late William Patterson and Lilly Mae (Ward) Patterson, was born December 17, 1945, in Taunton, Massachusetts and departed this life on May 11, 2026 at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 24 days at Baptist Hospital in Paragould, AR.  Ruth married James George on December 16, 1967. James  preceded her in death.  Ruth was a dietary cook at Dunklin County Memorial Hospital for many years.

Survivors include:

Sons; Frankie George of Senath, MO., Jimmy (Angela) George of Kennett, Jamie (Jennifer) George of Ahus, AR., Michael George of Kennett, Brandon George of Paragould, AR. and  Josh (Kathryn) George of Paragould, AR.

Daughter: Lisa (Ronnie Joe) Wooten of Lake City, AR.

Sister: Ora Mae (Jerry)  Duncan of Columbus, MS.

Niece: Joanna Bishop of Kennett, MO.

Nineteen grandkids, fourteen great grandkids and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents: Lilly and Bill Patterson,  sisters: Christine Carl and Kay Lupardous and her brothers: Eugene, Ed, Perry, Ray and Frank Patterson.

Visitation will be 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2026  at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.  Funeral Services will be at 3:00 pm at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.  Kenny Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Lulu Cemetery in Senath, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Bob Benjamin, Kevin Pitts,  Jacob Reeves, Eddie Patterson, Billy Patterson and Dason Bishop. Honorary pallbearers: Adam Hodel, Lance Hopper, Nathan Bailey, Adam Ring and Chris Martin.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
