Ruby Jewell Johnson, daughter of the late Ruben Quigley and Emma Williams Quigley, was born  April 10, 1926 in Knobel, Arkansas and departed this life on January 11, 2024, at the age of 97 years, 9 months and 2 days. Ruby married Ferman Aubrey Johnson on June 3 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas. Ferman preceded her in death in 1966.

Ruby was of Kennett and a member of First Church in Kennett.

Survivors Include:

Two Sons: Jeremiah  (Anita) Johnson of Kennett

Earl (Phyllis) Parrish of Doniphan, Mo

Sister: Goldie Hearn (Ruben) Owassa of Oklahoma

Twelve grandchildren: Vicky Snyder, Lee Parrish, Robert Parrish, Rachel Tarkington, Jedediah Johnson, Chris Johnson, Leah Jo Waynick, Moses Johnson,  Nichole Keck, Jessica Tallent, and Mathew Tallent

Twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Ruby was preceded in death by her son: Dale Johnson, her grandson: Aaron Johnson, great grandson: Jacob Johnson, sisters: Wanda Laffetry, Opal Cheshire, Juanita Byrd,  Dorothy Walker, Darlene Davidson and Hazel Quigley.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the First Church on the South By Pass in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. January 20, 2024 at  First Church in Kennett. Reverend's Don Sheerin and Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.
