Rowena Joyce Skelton, daughter of the late Thomas Beauford Harris and Stella Loraine Smith Harris, was born January 27, 1939 in Octa, Missouri and passed away December 23, 2023 at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 26 days.  Rowena married Metz Skelton on March 2, 1956.  He preceded her in death on October 16, 2022.

She is survived by:

1 Son: Christopher (Kenna) Skelton of Kennett, Missouri

2 Daughters: Rena Ingram of Kennett, Missouri

Sherri Hamlett of Kennett, Missouri

1 Brother: Danny Allen Harris of Kennett, Missouri

2 Sisters: Marilyn Rose Clark of Leachville, Arkansas

Mary Beth Haywood of Senath, Missouri

6 Grandchildren: Cody Skelton, Tyler Ingram, Jereme Hamlett, Keisha Pattillo, Taylor Skelton and Samuel Skelton

6 Great grandchildren: Ketcher Pattillo, Ralley Pattillo, Kappy Pattillo, Jace Hamlett, Nova Hamlett and Tatum Finnell

Other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Skelton was preceded in death by her son Nick Skelton and a brother Tommy Joe Harris.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.  Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens in Kennett.  Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Chris Skelton, Cody Skelton, Tyler Ingram, J. J. Hamlett, Marcus Pattillo and Kenny Holmes.  Honorary pallbearers will be: Mark Johnson, Jim Johnson, Chuck Johnson, Josh Harris and Jason Holmes.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
