Rita Josephine Edwards, daughter of the late Lewis Floyd Hooten and Ruby Josephine (Smith) Hooten was born January 3, 1956 in Gideon, Missouri and departed this life on December 8, 2020 at the age of 64 years. Rita married Paul Kennedy November 1, 1975, Paul  preceded her in death December 16, 2007. Rita later married Mike Edwards

Survivors include:

Her husband: Mike Edwards of Holcomb, Missouri

One son: Chris (Tammy) Kennedy of Holcomb, Missouri

Two grandchildren: Leandra and Caleb Kennedy

One brother: Floyd Hooten of Nashville, Tennessee

Other relatives and many friends.

Rita was preceded in death by two brothers: James Hooten and George Hooten.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020 at Calvary General Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri. Memorial Services follow at 2:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Calvary General Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri.
