Regena  Suzette Mooney, daughter of the late Eugene Waltrip and Lila (Joyner) Waltrip was born December 13, 1956  in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on July 7, 2022 at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 24 days. Regena married Elvis Mooney Jr. who preceded her in death.

Survivors include:

Sister: Jeanette Randolph

Nieces: Alexandria Barker, Sierra Holiman and Camille Randolph

Regena loved her family very much. She was a social worker with the State of Missouri for over forty years. She was determined to help people overcome neglect and abuse. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Harry Porter trivia and painting as a pastime.

Regena will be missed by many loving friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesay, July 13, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Andy Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Misssouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Jonathan Sparrow, Austin Holiman, Corey Barker, Barry Garner, Bruce Holiman and David Kendrick.

Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer organization of your choice.
