Peeler "Pete" Sample, son of the late Isaac and Lucy (Altom) Sample, was born April 12, 1930 in Pangburn, Arkansas and departed this life December 7, 2022 at the age of 92 years. Pete married Mary Francis Mungle November 6, 1955 in Senath, Missouri.

He is survived by:

His wife of 67 years: Mary Sample of Senath.

One son: Perry (Belinda) Sample of Senath.

One daughter: Karen (Mike) Conrad of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

One sister: Josie Bigham.

Six grandchildren: Chris (Katie) Conrad, Megan (Matt) Mittrucker, Matt (Jessica) Sample, Luke Sample, Eli Sample and Emma Sample. Five great-grandchildren.

Other relatives and many friends.

Pete was the owner/operator of Sample Oil Company. He was a member and deacon at Senath First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Senath. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Senath with Reverend Chris Hicks officiating. Burial in the Senath Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Mike Todd, Ronnie Abmeyer, Don Wallace, Jerry Green, Robbie Shrum and Eddie Adams.
