Peggy Joyce Rose, age 85, died Saturday, January 2, 2021. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake, N.C. Visitation will precede the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, 11:00 A.M.at Lulu Perpetual Care Cemetery, Senath, Missouri; with McDaniel Funeral Service of Senath, Missouri, assisting.
Peggy was born in Senath, Missouri, December 3, 1935, the daughter of Rayford M. Pollard and Effie Agnes Smithwick Pollard. Peggy married the love of her life, Billy Hugh Rose, June 2, 1953. They lived and spent most of their lives in Paragould, Arkansas where they raised their two sons, Brady and Nathan Rose. In the early years of marriage, while raising their family, Peggy assisted Bill with his television repair business and created beautiful ceramics; which she sold to the public and gifted to family and close friends. In her later years, she was employed by Belk's Department Store where she retired after 20+ years of service. Upon retirement, she and Bill moved to Arbyrd, Missouri. After Bill's passing, Peggy moved to Sanford, North Carolina, to be near her children.
Regardless of where Peggy lived, she was always active and served the Lord faithfully in the local church. She served as a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Paragould, Arkansas, Arbyrd Baptist Church, Arbyrd, Missouri and First Baptist Church, Spring Lake, North Carolina. She also enjoyed growing flowers, crocheting and playing her Ukulele with her sister. Peggy had many friends. She was kind and encouraging and she was loved by all who knew her. Peggy enjoyed a lot of things in life however, one of her greatest joys, was her family. She was affectionately known as "Mee-maw" to her grandchildren and they were blessed by her kindness, concern, encouragement and her absolute love for them.
Peggy is survived by her children Lt. Col. Brady (Zenia Alejandra Aguilar Bulnes) Rose, Nathan Rose; six grandchildren, Austen Rose, Cameron Rose, Samuel Rose, Mitchell, Rose, Kaitlin Rose and Kyle Rose; one great-grandson, Collin Rose; and sibling, Lieutenant Colonel Robert "Bob" Pollard. She was preceded in death by husband, Billy Hugh Rose; sister, Hilda A. Hamilton, brother Rayford M. Pollard Jr. and parents, Rayford and Agnes Pollard.
