Peggy Ruth Parmenter, age 86, of Kennett, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Westwood Hills Rehab. Ct. in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Peggy was born on July 19,1938, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to J E and Verdie Gunter. Peggy called Kennett her lifelong home. Family and her Christian faith were the most important things to her and she loved her family with all her heart.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, one sister (Linda) and one step granddaughter.

Peggy is survived by four children: Renee (husband Gilbert) Zaragoza, Barbara Brown (significant other Doug), Gary Higgins (significant other Mark)  and Sandra (husband Donnie) Trout.

Two brothers: Marcus (Lynn) Gunter and  Ricky (Dolores) Gunter

11 grandchildren, There  were also bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren from blended families, all of whom were a great addition to the family.

Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 pm Monday February 3, 2025 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Graveside services will be 1:45 pm Monday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with Pastor Chris Maynard officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
