Paul Bryan "Sonny" Harkey, Jr., beloved son of Paul Sr. and Olene Harkey, was born on October 3, 1936, in Senath, Missouri and was set free of his earthly body on August 6, 2022 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Johnson. They were married October 18, 1958. Paul served 21 years and 29 days in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Master Sargent in 1976.

Granddaughters: Melissa and husband Benjamin Carlson of Tolar, Texas

Tiffany Stogner of Springtown, Texas

Great grandsons: Aiden, Nathan and Maddux.

Those that knew Paul, would describe him as a kind, honest and giving man. You could often find him playing a round of cards, catching crappie or hunting deer. He was a dear friend and mentor to many. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them whenever possible.

Paul was formerly of Kennett, Missouri and passed away in Toler, Texas. Paul was a Vietman veteran and a life time member of the VFW.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
