Paul Dean
Brown
May 17, 1935 – August 27, 2022
Paul Dean Brown of Rector, AR entered this life on May 17 th , 1935 in Kennett, MO and entered into glory on August 27 th , 2022 in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 87. He is survived by one son, Mike Brown (Gloria) of Rector, AR and one daughter, Sheila Callis (Jack) of Kennett, MO. Three grandchildren: Weldon Brown (Michael) of Rector, AR, Whitney Wright (Jonathan) of Paragould, AR, and Chelsea Dunn (Emmett) of Kennett, MO and four great grandchildren: Mason, Amelia, Kye, and Baby Wright. Two sisters: Brenda Rogers (Chuck) and Billie Ann Clayton. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Inez Brown, his parents Nell and Earl Brown, 3 brothers: Gaylon, Denver, and Baby Brown, and two sisters: Bonnie and Earlene.
Paul grew up in White Oak and attended Gregory School in Holcomb, MO. He talked fondly of his memories of growing up with his siblings. Most stories involved how him and his brother, Denver, stayed in trouble. He loved his family and he loved sharing memories together around the dining room table and laughing until they cried. After school, Paul served in the Army for two years in Germany. When he returned from serving, he met the love of his life, Inez, and they married in Hernando, Mississippi on September 8 th , 1957. They settled in Rector, AR where they raised their family. Paul loved to work and worked hard throughout his life and into retirement.
Paul was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Rector, AR. He enjoyed gathering there with his friends and family for some good fellowship, food, and music. He loved all things John Deere and when he wasn't helping the St. Louis Cardinal's win, he was supervising any and all projects going on around Brown's Corner.
Paul loved his family fiercely and never missed an opportunity to remind everyone that Chelsea was his "favorite" grandchild. He didn't say much. but when he did, he made it count. He loved spending time with his family under the shade of a pecan tree, sharing coffee and solving the world's problems. We will miss him tremendously but look forward to seeing him again in heaven, under the shade of a big pecan tree with a cup of coffee and a grin.
