Monty Kevin Shaver, son of the late Ernie Holmes and Carolyn (Crawford) Holmes, was born June 18, 1975, in Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, on September 24, 2023, at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 6 days. Monty married Misty Young on July 31,1993 in Kennett, Missouri.

Monty was of Kennett and a member of Westside Church of Christ in Kennett.

Monty was preceded in death by a brother: Trever Shaver.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the McDaniel Chapel.  Nolan Glover officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Rocky Joe Bost, Jake Bost, Blake Wilbanks, Heath Shearer, Austin Shaver, Dakota Barton and Jeremy Shipman. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
