Mervin "Paddle" Edison Graves, son of the late William and Alice Holbert Graves, was born December 28, 1931 in Steele, Missouri and departed this life August 26, 2016 at the age of 84 years.

He is survived by:

Two sons: Wendell Graves of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Danny Graves and Maria Helton of Rockford, Illinois.

Two grandchildren: Rhonda Graves of South Beloit, Illinois.

Nicholas Graves of Salt Lake City, Utah.

One great-grandchild: Hailey Musgrave

Daughter-in-law: Vicki Graves of Machesney Park, Illinois.

Three nephews: Joe Graves of Florida.

Steve Graves and Jeanie of Kennett, Missouri.

Christopher Jones of Kennett, Missouri.

One niece: Dawn Stone of Kennett, Missouri.

Other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by:

Two Sons: Dennis and Glen Graves, granddaughter: Renee Graves, four brothers: George , Holbert, James and Bill Graves, one sister: Fronie DeValt and his longtime companion June Jones.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
