Mervel "Champ" Eugene Jones, age 91, of Hornersville, Missouri went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Champ was a lifelong farmer and served in the United State Army and National Guard.

He is survived by daughters: Melinda Miller and Nancy Robitsch

Granddaughters: Jennifer (Daniel), Kathleen, and Candace (Josiah), great granddaughter: Hannah: brothers: Larry (Joan) Jones and Phillip Jones: sister Charlotte (Steve) Bounds: and beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Louise Jones, parents; Floyd Cooper Jones  Sr. and  Azalee Biggs Jones ,brothers: Floyd Cooper Jones, Jr. and James Jones: and sisters  Alice Joy Harrison and Violet Jacqueline Christian.

Graveside Services officiated by Steve Bounds will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Dunklin Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Senath-Hornersville Supt. Office, PO Box 370, Senath, MO. 63876 for the Champ and Louise Jones Memorial  Scholarship given to students seeking vocational training after high school.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
