Melody Mears, daughter of the late John and Patsy (Pendergrass) Mears was born October 30, 1965 in Michigan and departed this life February 18, 2024 at the age of 58 years.

She is survived by:

Her wife: Karen McCormick

One son: Brian Mears (Amber Stewart)

One daughter: Amanda Mears (Trenton Lewis)

Two brothers: Terry Criffield

John Mears, Jr.

One sister: Michelle Binney

Thirteen grandchildren: Blaze Mears, Accountess Lewis, Katina Lewis, Amaya Jeralds, Brianna Mears, Copeland Stewart, Kaiden Stewart, Mary Stewart, Kahlie Sweaney, Rodney Rice, Kenyon Jennings, Landry Lewis and Haivynn Brooks.

Other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Scott Pendergrass and Sonny Mears and two sisters: Cindy Mears and Lisa Mears.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2024 at McDaniel Funeral Service in Senath.

A memorial service honoring Melody will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2014 at McDaniel Chapel in Senath with Rev. Jim Davis officiating.
