Mary Lou Hamlett, daughter of the late Orville Ethridge and Polly Melinda Mae (Williams) Ethridge, was born January 12, 1941, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, and departed this life on August 13, 2023, at the age of 82 years. Mary Lou married Thomas Clyde Hamlett January 13, 1957, in Hernando, Mississippi.  Thomas preceded her in death January 8, 2004.

Survivors include:

Two daughters: Rhonda (Jeff) Bennett of Indianapolis, IN

Shelia (David) Hodapp of High Ridge, MO

Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren

Sister: Betty Cude of O'Fallon, MO

Other relatives and many friends.

Mary Lou was of O'Fallon, IL and passed away at St. Elizabeths in O'Fallon.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her brothers: Willie, G.W., Jack, Doc and Bud Ethridge and sisters: Mildred Ethridge and Faye Buck.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Friday, August 18, 2023, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.   Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Christopher Holland, Kenny Glenn, Jake Lowe, Jeffrey Bennett, Robby Hamlett and Joey Hamlett.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
