Obituary

Marjorie "Muggs" Evelynn Williams Bunting, the daughter of Frank Williams and Evaline Brashers Williams was born April 20, 1927 in Kennett, Missouri. On November 8, 1944 in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Edward Lee Bunting. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2007. Marjorie was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Wilson, Ralph, J.F., Allen and Ray Williams and one sister: Mary Francis Carter.

Marj was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She treasured her family and church. Marjorie was a member of Gambrel Baptist Church in Starks, Louisiana. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Marjorie passed away April 11, 2022, only nine days shy of her 95 birthday.

Marj Bunting is survived by one sister: Neoma Robertson of Rosedale, Mississippi as well as three children:

Rick (Mary Margaret) Bunting of Campbell, Missouri

Marilynn (Jim) Smelser of Risco, Missouri

John Bunting of Vinton, Louisiana

Eight grandchildren: Cameron Bunting Parker, Aaron Bunting and Cynthia Bunting Ferguson all of Campbell, Casey Bunting Rost of New Madrid, Emily Smelser Fortner of Pensacola B each, Florida, Tori Bunting of Malden, and Sean and Jarod Bunting of Vinton, Louisiana. She also has twenty two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Mark Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Aaron Bunting, Sean Bunting, Dason Milam, Chad Parker, Peter Rost and Adam Ferguson. Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Carter, Danny Carter, Ted Williams, Johnny Williams, Joey Williams, Terry Jackson, Trent Holcomb, Andy Smelser, Darrel Wood and Roger Smelser.

Memorials may be made to St.Jude Children's Hospital or the children's charity of your choice.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
