Mabel Louise Hamlett, daughter of the late Lester Williams and Opal (Ryall) Williams, was born  March 16, 1935, in Dunklin County, Missouri, and departed this life on July 26, 2024, at the age of  89 years, 4 months and 10 days in Holcomb. Mabel married Carlon Hamlett on October 5, 1956 in Mississippi. He preceded her in death August 13, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters:

Judy (Steve) "Bump" McCallister of Holcomb

Cathy (Tracy) Stroud of Pocahontas, Ar.

Grandma to five grandchildren: Stephanie, Jody, Erica, Tasha and Tia

Granny to eleven great grandchildren

MayMay to many other bonus grandchildren and many other relatives and great friends.

Mabel was preceded in death by her brother: Jerry Williams and two sisters: Gladys McLaughlin and Bonnie Sue Montgomery.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon  to 2:00 pm  Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.  Reverend Harold Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Lloyd Cemetery in Holcomb, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Joey Hamlett, Robbie Hamlett, Jerry Laster, Steve Coffer, Charles Smith and Tory Tice.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
