Lloyd "Ed" Tate, son of the late Floyd Tate and Annis (Mayberry) Tate, was born April 26, 1942 in Hornersville, Missouri, and departed this life on October 24, 2022 at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 28 days. Ed married Betty Goodrich December 6, 1963 in Bragg City, Missouri.

One son: Barry (Lora) Tate of Kennett, Missouri

Granddaughter: Katie (Jerry) Garza of Holcomb, Missouri

Two great grandchildren: Roman and Stella Garza

Two sisters: Louise Ray of Memphis, Tennessee

Joyce Huggins of Rector, Arkansas

Other relatives and many friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his sister: Betty Shands.

Ed was of Kennett, Missouri and was a member of Varney River Baptist Church.

Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Reverend Harold Dunbar officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Don Goodrich, Mike Goodrich, Cody Goodrich, Derrick Dawson, Jerry Garza and Terry Fuller. Honorary pallbearers: Roman and Stella Garza.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
