June 13, 1935 – September 28, 2021
Lindell Troy Chilton was born June 13, 1935, near Arbyrd, MO. to his late parents Hirl Lee and Lora Lee (Fortune) Chilton and passed away September 28, 2021 at the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 86 years. A son, Lindell Troy Chilton, Jr. also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife: Wilma (Overbay) Chilton, one daughter, Sherry (Miles) Horner and one son, David Henry Chilton.
One sister, Lois Faye Norton of Tennessee, four grandchildren: Miles E. (Kim) Horner lll, Matthew Miles (Brooke) Horner, David Ryan (Amy) Chilton and Denielle Chilton. Great-grandchildren are Adelyn and Caroline Horner, Christopher,Talan, Paizley, Hayzl Horner and Hadleigh Foster. One niece, Rachel Norton McBride and grand-nephew Michael Norton.
Lindell loved the life of a farmer and was a lifelong farmer in the Cardwell and Arbyrd area. He was ordained as a Deacon at the Cardwell First Baptist Church on June 3, 1984 and served his church for many years. He was a graduate of Cardwell High School in 1953. He served the Southland School Board for 17 years and served as a Gideon for many years. A life of service has come to a close. He was a Christian all his adult life from 19 years old when he dedicated his life to the Lord at the Arbyrd Baptist Church in 1955.
He lived with Parkinson's Disease and the complications it brings for many years and was always pleasant and giving praise to the Lord for each day he lived. He loved his children, grandchildren, his family, and always had their best interest in mind.
Services for Lindell will be held at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath on Thursday, September 30, at 11:00 A. M. with Bro. Steven Bricker and Mr. Randy Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in the Cardwell Cemetery. The visitation will start at 10:00 A.M. and continue until service time.
Pallbearers will be: Marty Langston, Larry Brannum , Chris Kellums, B.J.Young, Douglas Masters and Gary Waddell.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Cardwell or the Cardwell Cemetery.
