Linda Kay Snipes, daughter of the late William and Arlie (Reagan) Lantz was born May 10, 1948 in Black Rock, Arkansas and departed this life July 19, 2024 at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett, Missouri at the age of 76 years 2 months and 9 days. Kay married Allen Snipes November 25, 1968. He preceded her in death March 13, 2007.

She is survived by:

Three sons: Jerry Snipes of Kennett

Michael (Tina) Snipes of Kennett

Tracy (Layla) Snipes of Bell City

One daughter: Renee Eagan of Jonesboro, Arkansas

Nine grandchildren: Nick Snipes, Alex Snipes, Brittani Escue, Melani Rooney, Maegan Parker, Matthew Snipes, Kelli Richmond, Breyanna Sutton and Scott Sutton.

Nine great-grandchildren: Millie Parker, Evan Parker, Sophia Richmond, Dallas Willoughby, Killian Snipes, Hazelton Escue, Oakes Escue, Reece Rooney and Cole Escue.

Other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank Henry Atchley and Joe Atchley, four sisters: Fannie Cates, Ethel Birmingham, Dixie Phillips and Mary Reeves and a granddaughter: Christie Nash.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating.  Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers; Kevin Nash, Tommy Cook, Stephen Rooney, Erick Escue, Chris Seats and Matt Snipes. Honorary pallbearers: Marty Cato and Anthony Miller.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
