She was born Linda Joyce Maxwell, January 3 rd , 1945, at her parents home in Dunklin county, Bragg City, Missouri.  She was the fourth child of Flynn Robert and Pansy Lucinda Maxwell.

Linda was a very valued employee of the state of Missouri for over 30 years.  She worked at the Kennett office of the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Family Services until her deserved retirement on September 1 st , 2003.  She had served since her retirement as president of the local retirement association and attended their monthly dinner for fellowship.

Linda was a true and valuable servant of her community.  She visited often with home bound family and friends bringing cheer and encouragement onto their lives.  She also, very often purchased meals from the local Community Nutrition Center and delivered those meals to those that could not go on their own to eat there.  One of the last meals she delivered, prior to her illness, was to one of her former high school teachers for Deering High School, Mrs. Merry Jim Elder.  Linda attended Deering High School, graduating in 1963.
