Linda was born August 5th, 1948, in Paragould, Arkansas to Clara Hawkins Burton and Lon Burton.
Linda grew up in Senath Mo, and graduated in 1966 from Senath-Hornersville High School.

In 1974, Linda married Jim Damron and embarked on a 25 year career as an Army wife.  Linda loved being an Army wife and all the people and places she was able to travel to, including her favorite duty station, Hawaii,

Linda is survived by her 3 children: Jeff Damron of Kennett MO, Brad Damron of Clarksville TN, and Jamie Brown of Paragould AR. Two Grandchildren: Braylen Brown and Evelyn Clare Damron, bonus child, Kelli Cook, bonus grandchild, Sammy Cook.
One brother: Howard Burton, and sister- in- law, Irene Burton.  One sister: Theresa Payne and brother- in -law, Tim Payne, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Linda was  preceded in death by mother Clara, father Lon, sister Pat, and nephew, Jerrod Payne.

Linda or Aunt Linda to many enjoyed life and enjoyed her family. She will forever be in our hearts and memories.

A memorial will be held Saturday, October 11, 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Senath, with Rev. Chris Hicks officiating.
