Larry Michael Strother, son of the late Award E. and Ethel (Hicks) Strother, was born December 13, 1953, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on December 16, 2025, at the age of 72 years. Larry was married to Ruth Tibbs Strother of the home, for 52 years. He was a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by:

Wife: Ruth Strother of Bragg City, Missouri

One brother: Jimmie Strother of Bragg City, Missouri

Two sisters: Shirley (Freddie) Rutledge of Sikeston, Missouri

Irene Jordan of Senath, Missouri

Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday at the McDaniel Chapel with Mr. Jay Lyles officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers are his nephews: David Jordan, Mark Jordan, Mike Strother, Carson Strother, Collin Strother and Marc Blankenship.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Children's Homes, Inc. 5515 Walcott Road,  Paragould, Arkansas 72450.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
