Kermett Gene Autry, 91 of St. Charles, Missouri died July 8, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Missouri. Mr. Autry was a Marine Corps veteran, having served in the Korean War. He retired from General Motors as a Purchasing Agent after 30 years and enjoyed working on cars, fixing clocks and spending time with family. He was born July 23, 1929 in Senath, Missouri and was the son of the late William Thomas Autry and Lera Olene (Holmes) Autry. He was married December 31, 1954 to Javauta Jo (Pitts) Autry.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Kay (Autry) Arnold and son-in-law, James Elton Arnold of St. Peters. He is also survived by his beloved grandson, Eric Gene Arnold, who lived with him in St. Charles; granddaughter, Sarah Jo Arnold of St. Peters and grandson, Pastor Jacob William Arnold of North Vernon, Indiana and his wife, Megan (Hendrickson) Arnold; brother, Dennis Jordon Autry of Senath, Mo, sister, Myrle Joyce (Autry) Wilson of Springfield, MO; sister-in-law, Lavonia Kay (Pitts) Hawkins and brother-in-law, Danny Lee Hawkins of St. Charles, MO. He is survived by many other relatives and friends, far too many to mention.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Javauta, parents, William and Lera, as well as a daughter, Pamela Kay Autry.

Visitation will be at McDaniel Funeral Home, in his hometown of Senath, Missouri, Friday July 16, 2021 from 6-8PM. The funeral will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Doug Clinton officiating and burial will be in the Senath Cemetery next to his wife. Pallbearers will be Eric Arnold, Jim Arnold, Danny Hawkins, Dana Autry, Austin Autry and Luke Becker.
