Karen (Jones) Nichols, daughter of the late Langdon E. Jones and Eleanor Jean (Alexander) Jones, was born March 3, 1952  in Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life on August 5, 2024, at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 2 days, at her home in Kennett.

Karen married John Wabon Nichols on December 27, 1994 in Kennett. John preceded her in death on January 31, 2019.

Karen was a member of First Baptist Church in Kennett.

Survivors include:

Son: Alex (Tracie) Napier of Hernando, Mississippi

Stepson: Jason Nichols of Kennett

Granddaughter: Nealy Jones Napier

Other relatives and many friends

Karen was preceded in death by two sisters: Pamela Mercier and Laurel Jamieson

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 12:00 noon Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon  Saturday,  August 10, 2024 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Reverend Ron Wilcoxson officiating.  Honored  to serve as pallbearers: Andy Byrd, Chad Abbott, Doug Wilcoxson, William Rickman, Langdon Jones, Jordon Napier, Bradford Wood and Justin Wills.  Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
