June Jewette (Davidson) Dowdy, of Senath, Missouri passed away February 05, 2025, at National Health Care in Kennett, Missouri at the age of 84.
June was born May 19, 1940, in Hornersville, Missouri to the late Jake and Norma (Boatright) Davidson.
June worked at Wal-Mart in Paragould, Ar, for over 30 years. She loved her job and loved the people there. She enjoyed telling "Wal-Mart stories" to her granddaughters that were always sure to be entertaining. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was always sassy and humorous and always brought joy and laughter to those around her.  She loved country music, game shows, and sunflowers. She attended church at The Bridge in Kennett, Missouri.
She leaves behind her son, Truitt (Sheila) Dowdy; three granddaughters-Jessica (Matthew) Sample, Kristi (Matthew) Wadley, and Danielle (Andrew) Blair; one grandson- Quinton (Kaylee) Hurst; one brother-Jake Davidson; four great grandsons- Raylan Wadley, Jaxson, Bennett, and Grant Sample; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son-Noel "Eddie" Edward Dowdy, Jr; an infant daughter- Angela Ann; her sister Shelby Small; two brothers- John Davidson and Michael Davidson; stepfather-Vernon Hendrickson.
Her funeral will be Thursday, February 13, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at the McDaniel Chapel in Senath, Missouri with Rev. Wayland Tom officiating.
The visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until service time at 11:00 A.M.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Matthew Sample, Matthew Wadley, Kenneth "Bruce" Small, Billy Tansil, Willie Garris and Gary Lynn Newman. Honorary pallbearers are Raylan Wadley, Jaxson Sample and Kerry "Buck" Small.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Senath is in charge of the arrangements.
Burial will be in Lulu Cemetery.
