Joyce Payne, daughter of the late Vernon and Lena (Roach) Jones, was born May 16, 1934 in Hayti, Missouri and departed this life August 2, 2022, at the age of 88 years 2 months and 17 days. Joyce married Alton Payne May 23, 1953 in Gobler, Missouri.

She is survived by:

Two sons: Larry (Patty) Payne

Travis (Twila) Payne

Two daughters: Teresa (Mike) Fouts

Letitia (Doug) Ursery

One sister: Donna Ragins

Sixteen grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Ray Jones, a sister: Janet Patton, two grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2022 at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Reverend J.E. Crews officiating. Burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons: Wesley Gillette, Patrick Payne, Jonathan Payne, Joe Bob Payne, Jonas Payne and Tucker Fritz.
