John Melvin Marshall, son of the late Grant Marshall and Daisy (Duckworth) Marshall, was born April 18, 1940, in Pascola, Mo., and departed this life on May 4, 2024,  in Kennett, Mo., at the age of 84 years.

John married Junetta Beckman on July 4,1960, in Dexter, Mo.

Survivors include:

His wife: Junetta Marshall of Kennett, Mo.;

Three children: Cynthia Jackson and "Michael" his son-in-law who preceded him in death, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.;

John Anthony "Tony" Marshall and his wife, Patty, of Ballwin, Mo.;

Michele "Shelly" and husband, Danny Presson, of Ballwin, Mo.;

Eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren;

Three brothers: David Marshall of Wyatt, Mo.;

Don Marshall of Kennett, Mo.;

Paul Marshall of Hillsdale, Mich.;

Sister: Maxine Thornton of Mustang, Okla.; and

Other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.  Reverends Ron Lawson and Danny Presson, officiating. Burial will follow in Cardwell Cemetery in Cardwell, Mo. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
