Jo Ann Gentry, daughter of the late Lloyd  McNew and Irene (Baker) McNew was born December 4, 1941 in Senath, Missouri and departed this life on February 9, 2022. Jo Ann married Harold L. Gentry on April 2, 1960 in Senath, Missouri. Harold preceded her in death March 26, 2010.

Survivors include:

Son: Anthony Gentry of Pevely, Missouri

Two daughters: Angela Smith of Jackson, Missouri

Tammy (Greg) Wampler of Richwood, Ohio

Sister: Betty Smith of Maryville, Tennessee

Four grandchildren: Andrew (Elaine) Smith, Matthew (Heather) Smith, Jarrod Wampler and Haley (William Brown) Gentry.

Three great grandchildren

Jo Ann was preceded in death by brother: Ron McNew and grandchild Joshua Gentry.

Jo Ann was of Jackson, Missouri formerly of Senath, Missouri.

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Jim Pemberton officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri.
