Jimmie Dennis Gilpin, son of the late W.A. Gilpin and Geraldine (Reed)l Gilpin was born September 17, 1955 in Gideon, Missouri and departed this life on June 29, 2026 at the age of 70  years, 9 months and 12 days.

Jimmie married Sheila McElwrath on November 29, 1974 in Kennett.

Survivors include:

His wife: Sheila Gilpin of Kennett, MO

Two daughters: Shannon Davidson of Kennett

Amber (Josh) Rodgers of Dexter

Six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren

Brother: Gary Gilpin of Bonne Terre, MO

Other relatives and many friends

Jimmie was preceded in death by two brothers: Rick and Randy Gilpin

Visitation will be Friday July 3, 2026 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm at the McDaniel Chapel with Judy Conder officiating. Burial will follow in Gregory Cemetery in Kennett.  Honored to serve as pallbearers: Danny and Scott Mitchell,  Payden Coronado, Kamdyn Lohmann, Timothy Gilpin and Daxton Scott. Honorary pallbearers: Darrell Conder and Mike Holigan.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
